Welcome to Carmel School Association
Dear Prospective Parents,
At Carmel, everything revolves around 'Excellence, Community, Tradition'. Family involvement is key and begins from the moment you visit our campuses. We believe the parent–school partnership underpins a child's ability to blossom and develop to his or her full potential. Carmel functions as one large family, providing support, care, help and direction—and we are delighted to invite you to learn more about our unique school here in Hong Kong.
As a Jewish school, we develop the whole person within our strong moral and ethical framework. Our challenging curriculum highlights the advantages of a Jewish education: the Elementary School curriculum and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years (PYP), Middle Years (MYP) and Diploma (DP) Programmes at Elsa High School reflect our high academic standards, as well as the personal development aspects of the education we offer. We are proud of the way our students grow into a responsible and caring community of young people, ready for both the academic as well as the personal challenges of tertiary education at top universities worldwide.
The goal of the admissions process is to ease your child's entry into Carmel School Association at an appropriate stage between Ganeynu and Grade 12 and to welcome the whole family into the Carmel learning community. At Elsa High School, we welcome non-Jewish students, and throughout Carmel, from Ganeynu to the High School, all children with one Jewish parent are accepted. The school welcomes students from all strands of Judaism and does not confer Jewish status.
Please do not hesitate to contact us for further information or for a preliminary informal chat with either myself or our Head of Elementary, Mrs Mira Hasofer. We would be delighted to welcome you to visit our campus should your travels bring you to Hong Kong.
We look forward to meeting you and your child/ren,
Carmel School Association
Exploring different cultures on the educational visits is what I like best about studying at Elsa. I have learnt from these visits, and they have also inspired me to continue my voyage of knowledge.
