Holly Rofé Early Learning Campus (Tzutzik, Ganeynu, Afternoon Programme, Nursery and Pre K)
Carmel provides a learning environment where all children feel loved, secure and safe. Children learn to have a voice while respecting each other and we focus on a holistic approach to education.
For 25 years our early learning programmes have nurtured young children, helping them build their early learning skills, their emotional security and confidence and helping make them become capable of positive relationships. Our purpose built facility combined with an integrated and tailor designed transdisciplinary curriculum, allows all our learners to develop cognitively and emotionally at their pace. Our team of committed early years educators provide every child with individual time and attention each day. Our small class setting and high teacher-to-student ratio ensure that the cognitive, personal and emotional needs of all children are catered to.
Through our Tzutzik and Ganeynu programmes, children experience a boutique learning environment tailor-designed to meet their needs. In our Unaccompanied Early Learning Afternoon Programme, children as young as twelve months have daily opportunities to develop the critically important fine and gross motor skills, to be exposed to the building blocks for early language development and to experience and learn how to create positive social interactions through play and music.
Our Pre K and Nursery programmes serves as a stepping stone to our Elementary programme, providing the foundation and framework for the transition to our other programmes.
Learning Through Play
We believe that children learn best through play and experiences. Play provides important opportunities for children to experiment, explore, discover and create. Children learn to socialise and interact with one another through play, and the need for group work, collaboration and kindness towards each other can be introduced and fostered from this young age. Through play, teachers can observe the strengths and areas for improvement in the children and can tailor-design their program to meet those needs.
Facilities
Our learning spaces are tailored to encourage exploration and discovery, featuring open-plan areas and play corners that support a balanced growth across cognitive, social, emotional, and physical domains. We believe that inquiry-driven, structured and inventive play allows our learners to develop their individual identity, awareness of others and understanding of the world around them. Our open-plan spaces allow the children to explore and experiment while feeling secure. Through "play corners" and "learning centres", children are encouraged to collaborate and to try activities.
Outdoor Play
Our outdoor play areas allow the children to adventure and develop their gross motor skills while connecting with the outside. Children have the opportunity to run, ride and climb using the outdoor equipment, and on rainy days, they enjoy use of the indoor play area and indoor gymnasium. Our outdoor spaces have a mix of carefully crafted activities and resources to introduce play, learning to take ‘risks’ and adventure. This is the space where imaginations run wild and great stories are crafted. Our outdoor play areas allow the children to experiment and develop their gross motor skills while connecting with the outside.
Indoor Play
Our tailor designed indoor play environments have an immediate effect on the quality of children’s learning and development. We provide a beautiful and inviting environment based on modern design approaches to early learning. Our open-plan spaces allow the children to explore and experiment while feeling secure. The play spaces are comfortable, and allow the children to explore and experiment in safe areas. The spaces are flexible and accommodate changing interests and needs, while offering immediate opportunities for the development of fine and gross motor development. On rainy Hong Kong days, the children can hone their skills on the gymboree equipment, working together with the teachers on their big muscle development.
Snacks and Lunch
Snacks and lunch are carefully prepared to ensure they meet the nutritional needs and preferences of our students, while adhering to Kosher dietary laws. Lunches (Nursery and Pre K) include a variety of options such as beef spaghetti, chicken or beef burgers, a selection of vegetables, fried noodles, and rice.
