Grade 3-5 students visited Race for Water, who are hosting an environmental protection exhibit aboard a solar-hydrogen-kite-powered vessel. The foundation is sailing around the world on a five-year odyssey to propose solutions for the preservation of the oceans. On the boat, the crew talked to the children about water as a precious resource and focused on how single-use plastics are affecting our oceans. The students also toured the boat and were able to learn about the environmentally friendly ways that the boat is powered (wind power, solar power and water).

The Race for Water Foundation is an organisation dedicated to the preservation of water and the oceans. Today, seriously under threat from plastic pollution, it is imperative that we protect what is an essential resource for life.

Their exhibit "Plastic Pollution: From Impact to Solutions" will be in Hong Kong until later this month and is offering visits free of charge for students over 8 years of age.
