Carmel’s Elsa High School opened its doors to prospective students and parents at its Open Day on 6 November, with staff and students all actively engaged in welcoming potential new families to our High School campus. Enthusiastic student ambassadors provided group  tours - with running commentary - whilst teachers chatted informally to parents and expanded on the varied and inspiring subject and co curricular displays in the auditorium.

Formal presentations made by Principal Mrs. Rachel Friedmann and Head of Academics Mr. Kyle Ford focused on Carmel's unique offerings and how academic success and personal development are achieved through the special link between our Jewish values and education and the close relationship between Judaism and the vision and principles of the IB, our curriculum of choice.

These were followed by personal stories: first from two mothers, one of an international student who graduated this year and the second from a mother of three children who have been at Carmel School since the age of one and are now all at Elsa; secondly from current students who spoke eloquently about academic empowerment as well as the many routes provided to personal development and self-discovery, the benefits afforded by our very high teacher-student ratio and outstanding Faculty.

Refreshments and further informal conversations followed, with our latest robot gathering much attention! There were multiple registrations for interviews. We thank our guests for visiting our School and hope they found the afternoon informative. For more information or to schedule a private tour, contact admissions@carmel.edu.hk.
