Dear Parents,

This week in ELC Steph, we enjoying continuing looking at 'Colours', particularly looking at rainbow colours. We enjoyed some lovely rainbow themed activities including working on our gross motor development and enjoying some messy play. We made clouds using shaving foam and used our 'magic fingers' to make a rainbow (see pictures below). This messy play activity was a fun way to experiment with mixing colours.

We have taken our rainbow theme outside this week, and enjoyed making rainbows with our sidewalk chalk, as well as bringing out or rainbow parachute. We used the parachute to make big movements up and down, under and out. The children particularly loved hiding under the parachute and using the parachute to make shaky waves.

Next week, we will use our knowledge of colours to explore the very vibrant and colourful world of Eric Carle story books, books such as 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' and 'The Mixed-up Chameleon'.
