Dear Parents

We have had a fruitful week here with our learning as we dug deeper into our health and wellness topics. We did some mindfulness activities like breathing exercises and popping bubbles.

As we continue our letters and sounds recognition, the children have engaged in letter tracing in sand ,alphabet matching and scooping out alphabets from sand .

During maths this week, we have been revising our shapes ,colours and creating  patterns.

Discussions of the week :

  • Discussed the importance of calm mind.
  • How to deal with different emotions.
  • 5 steps of managing big emotions
  • Recapped the book the colour monster

Jewish Studies
In Jewish Studies this week we had fun in our inquiry into Sukkot. We spent time making our own Sukkah crafts, and visited the Ohel Leah Sukkah. We sang songs and explored the Arba Minim. Wishing everyone a Chag Sameach! - Morah Shoshana

Mandarin
We reviewed what we have learned in the few past weeks. We made a craft about what animals we recognised - Ms Vivian

Reminders
- Please return your library books after the break .

-Please return the Mandarin book to school every Monday.
- Sukkot break from Monday 20th September  until Friday 1st October.

-School resume on  Monday 4th October.

I'd like to wish you all a happy and restful holidays  ahead and I look forward to welcoming the children back in the classroom on Monday 4 October. We are ready to flow into our first Unit of inquiry i.e., ‘WHO WE ARE’
