This week, Grade 10 were tasked with test-running their ideas and sharing their MYP Personal Project in the Work-in-Progress Exhibition. The Personal Project represents the culmination of the IB MYP experience and is an opportunity to showcase what students have learned during their time in the program while being given autonomy to explore a topic of interest to them.

The Work-in-Progress Exhibition gives students the opportunity to share their progress so far and discuss opportunities for further refinement with teachers and peers. This year’s cohort have impressed with their original ideas and how they have turned their passions into projects. Stay tuned for the final Personal Project exhibition in May!

Student Reflections

"I felt well-prepared for today's exhibition. I had the date in mind since Winter break and tried my best to work towards an achievable "midpoint" to showcase to others. I also spent a considerable amount of time working on my report, evidence and trifold." Trisha

"I am proud of creating this idea. I am proud of linking my interests and making something challenging and unique. I am proud of the work I have done so far, such as my 3D CAD." Peter

"I felt that I was able to finally show something that I made based off my own research and work, rather than an assignment or presentation that is mandatory to be on a certain topic." Noah

"I felt very proud presenting my project to teachers and students since I really enjoyed talking about the memories I had with my great grandfather as a child. It brought back more memories which I had forgotten about and it felt nice to commemorate and remember him in this way." Ariel
