This week, we are excited to share wonderful news from our Hebrew Department. Students from our high school recently participated in the first round of the International Hebrew Olympiad, a global competition organized by Tel Aviv University. The Olympiad brings together Jewish schools from around the world, with thousands of students taking part each year. We are incredibly proud to announce that seven Elsa High School students achieved outstanding results and have qualified for the final round of the competition. This is a remarkable accomplishment and reflects their dedication, curiosity, and strong understanding of Hebrew and Israeli culture.
Our finalists are:
- Daniel (Grade 6)
- Noam (Grade 6)
- Omri (Grade 8)
- Romy (Grade 8)
- Ofek (Grade 9)
- Itay (Grade 9)
- Ori (Grade 9)
Reaching the finals of such a prestigious international event is a significant achievement. The Olympiad challenges students to demonstrate cultural insight, analytical thinking, and confident use of Hebrew — and our students truly excelled.
We congratulate all participants for their enthusiasm and hard work, and we extend a special “Kol Hakavod” to our seven finalists. We look forward to cheering them on as they proudly represent Carmel School in the upcoming final round. Well done to all — we are so proud of you!
