Elsa High School students recently showcased their linguistic talents in the International Hebrew Olympiad, a prestigious global competition organized by Tel Aviv University and Brandeis University. Thousands of students worldwide participate in this event to celebrate Hebrew language, culture, and analytical thinking. After a rigorous first round in December, seven of our students advanced to the finals, held last Friday at the Israeli Consulate. We are incredibly proud of our finalists for their dedication and exceptional performance:

  • Daniel (Grade 6)
  • Noam (Grade 6)
  • Omri (Grade 8)
  • Romy (Grade 8)
  • Ofek (Grade 9)
  • Itay (Grade 9)
  • Ori (Grade 9)

Student Reflections

"The test had both easy and hard questions... I was very nervous, but I stayed calm." — Noam (Grade 6)

"I felt relieved and happy because I actually understood the questions and wrote nice full answers." — Omri (Grade 8)

"The competition... challenged the strict grammatical structures of the Hebrew language and forced us to come up with new conclusions." — Ofek (Grade 9)

Kol Hakavod to all our participants! Your achievements continue to inspire our entire school community.
