The Carmel School Under 14 Boys football team kicked off the 2025 season with a blend of excitement and nerves as we faced ICHK. With several players returning from previous seasons, we were eager to showcase our skills and teamwork.

The match began positively, with our team controlling possession and creating numerous scoring opportunities. Our defense, anchored by Omri and Zev, effectively limited ICHK’s chances early on. However, the intense heat took its toll, and fatigue began to set in. Just before halftime, ICHK capitalized on their fresh substitutes, scoring a long-range shot that slipped past our goalkeeper, Brandon, putting us down 1-0.

After regrouping during the break, we returned to the field fueled with determination to equalize. Despite strong efforts from Ori, Thomas, Ari, and Edward, we struggled to break through ICHK's resolute defense. As the game progressed, our energy waned, while ICHK continued to substitute fresh players in. In the final minutes, with Caelen now in goal, ICHK launched another attack, resulting in a second goal that sealed the match at 2-0.

Though we faced disappointment, we held our heads high and displayed good sportsmanship. This match served as a valuable experience, motivating us as we look forward to our upcoming matches on Wednesday and Thursday. Together, we will learn from this game, strengthen our teamwork, and strive for success in the matches ahead.
