CIS Swimming Invitational

The recent CIS Invitational Swim Gala was a fantastic showcase of talent, determination, and progress for our swim team. It was a day filled with excitement, personal achievements, and valuable lessons for the future. Four new school records were set, a testament to the hard work and dedication of our swimmers. A special mention goes to Alessandro, who delivered an outstanding performance, claiming gold in the 100m freestyle and silver in the 50m freestyle – a brilliant achievement and our first medals at this event!

We were thrilled to welcome a new swimmer to our U14 girls’ team, who showed great promise and fit right in with the squad. Across the day, four swimmers achieved new personal bests, with four others coming tantalizingly close – a clear sign of the progress being made. The morning session was particularly strong, with the team swimming confidently and staying focused throughout. The afternoon session would prove more challenging, as we struggled to maintain the same level of motivation, which is something we’ll work on for next year - all part of the learning process.

Overall, we couldn’t be prouder of the team. The effort, camaraderie, and determination on display were inspiring, and it’s exciting to see how far we’ve come. Looking ahead, we’re eager to expand the team for next year and continue building on this momentum. If you’re interested in joining, please get in touch with Mr. Baldwin – we’d love to have you on board!
