The football tournament's third edition for the “Fête de la Francophonie”, organized in collaboration with the PSG Academy, Sports Academy Hong Kong, Club Sport, Alliance Française de Hong Kong, and Francophone consulates, was a worthwhile and unforgettable experience. It was amazing to compete against gifted teams from different backgrounds, and it promoted excellent sportsmanship and cross-cultural interaction.
There were also challenges: many of our opponents were extremely talented and well-prepared which forced our team to put in more effort and maintain focus under stress; there were further challenges when we had trouble carrying out our strategy, which put our fortitude and cooperation to the test.
In the end, the experience was worthwhile despite these challenges. We were proud to finish as runners-up, having conceded only one goal throughout the entire tournament. From the challenges we learned the value of tenacity, self-control, and teamwork.
A big thank you to Mr Rico for arranging the event, accompanying us, and cheering us on. I am appreciative of the chance and eager to use these lessons in upcoming contests!
