[ISSFHK U14 Girls Football] Carmel School vs DBIS

This week the CSA U14 Girls’ football team played DBIS. The match got off to a good start with both teams attacking and creating opportunities. We had all of our players available and we tried some new things but sometimes this led to a bit of confusion.

About half way through the first half things got a bit shaky because DBIS scored a goal even though we had just been attacking. Still the team did not quit or get upset, and Tali soon after made it 1-1 from a corner. The rain started soon after and towards the end of the half DBIS scored again to make the score 2-1 to DBIS  at halftime.

At half time we knew what our jobs were and what we needed to do better in the second half. We started well and had many shots at their goal but the weather wasn’t helping us. DBIS scored another goal as the rain turned heavy. The rest of the game was mostly CSA shooting at their goal but just not able to get the ball in the next, sometimes football can be frustrating like that.

Unfortunately, with the last kick of the game DBIS scored their fourth goal. The game could have been, should have been, 3-3 but we finished with a 4-1 loss. Even though the result was not what we wanted, we showed great collaboration and perseverance and were a much better team than the last time we played DBIS at U14.
