[ISSFHK U14 Boys Football] Carmel School vs International College Hong Kong (ICHK)

On Wednesday 28 August our U14 Boys Football Team began our season with an away game to ICHK. We all set off with a good mindset and determination.

The game started with a well-organized attack, and we managed to score early on. Itay delivered the goal, which was scored from a tight angle coming in from the left wing. Shortly after that ICHK converted and managed to level the game at 1-1.

After that, an error from the opposition made them lose possession of the ball, with Itay catching on. Itay seeing the keeper off of his line shoots from the halfway line and scores a beautiful dipping shot to make it 2-1. Following the goal, ICHK had a few chances which led to them scoring to draw the game level.

As halftime was approaching, we were determined to take the lead back. A quick pass from the right side of the pitch ended up in Omri’s feet as he shot and scored to hand us the lead into halftime. This was a special goal as Omri was playing out of position, but had adapted well. Halftime: 3-2

Shortly after the whistle was blown again, a great attack from our boys set up Akira, who finished it in the box which gave us a 4-2 lead. Unfortunately, with 15 minutes left of play in the heat, fatigue was an issue for us. As we pushed for holding possession, it wasn’t the right day. Final Score: 5-4 to ICHK

Great work for the boys for giving a lot of effort, let’s hope to improve for the next game against Island School on Thursday!
