U16 Boys Football: Carmel School vs Korean International School (KIS)

As the referee’s whistle blew, our first U16 match began. A run was made down the left side of the field, and due to a lapse in judgment from the defence, we conceded a goal that was neatly placed in the bottom left corner. After a chance was made by the midfield, Ariel Elbaz scored a goal to tie the score up.

We were 15 minutes into the game when our first substitution was made, exchanging Hillel Elbaz and Aaron with Yair Domnitz and Caleb Law in defense. The score was 2-1 in our favour by the time we conceded our next goal. After a hard fought performance from both teams, we reached halftime 4-2 ahead.

As kickoff for the second half began, the opposition were eager to tie the score but our defense held strong and our offense remained aggressive. We were nearing the end of the game with a score of 10-2. A play was made by the opposition that led to a goal scoring chance for them, but Itay stopped the attack with a well-timed slide and then led the counter-attack. As the referee's whistle blew for the last time, the game came to a close with a score of 11-2 to our team.

A special thank you to everyone who played, to our team coach and Mr. O’Connell who made sure we learned from our mistakes, to Mr. November and Ofek Shtorch, who filmed and captured the match on camera.
