Grade 4 and 5 Visit M+ Art Museum

Grade 4 and 5 students recently visited the A.A. Murakami exhibition, "Floating World," at M+ Art Museum. This immersive experience connected to the PYP Art theme of "Sharing the Planet" unit, enhancing their inquiry into the Natural World and Reimagined Futures.

A.A Murakami creates two immersive installations, through multidisciplinary, ephemeral technology and art, which offers a marvelous wonder of creation and into the realm of imagination and dreams.

Students were mesmerised by “Floating World,” an environment of floating bubble clouds and in “The Passage of Ra” a sequence of fog rings travelling into the digital world.

It was an amazing opportunity to see students engage in asking questions, writing down their thoughts and challenging themselves to draw from memory and observation. The sight to see they were very absorbed and connected to the process is something to be admired.
