Welcome to our STEAM programme, where creativity meets innovation. Our comprehensive programme integrates the core STEM subjects—Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics—with the artistic and creative elements of Art, fostering a holistic approach to learning.
As part of our STEAM programme, Carmel School students engage in hands-on robotics and coding projects, develop their skills through our annual multi-modal design challenge, and contribute to a more sustainable future through our plastic upcycling initiative. By working across disciplines, our students are empowered to become the next generation of thinkers, makers, and problem solvers, equipped to tackle the complex challenges of the 21st century.
- Design Challenge: Students collaborate to design solutions, combining aesthetic appeal with functionality, developing broader perspectives and more effective problem-solving strategies through collaboration.
- Robotics: From Kindergarten, students gain exposure to aspects of robotics, including using VEX and Lego Technics kits. At the Senior level, teams of students build and program robots, integrating coding skills with mechanical engineering principles, to compete in the prestigious FIRST Robotics Competition.
